I haven't had this in years. I used to love it, though, and sadly now I can't eat most of what's in it. Darn...should have eaten extra servings back in the day.
As a lover of all things vintage, I write about our cottage home, inspirational decorating, vintage finds, thrifty buys, and old-time recipes. I have many additional interests such as reading, writing, blogging, arts and crafts, and quilting...I write about these interests as well as about family, friends, shelties, nature and hobbies.
Why don't people make this any more. I have not thought of chicken a la king in a zillion years~ Thank you for posting.

My father was a chef and made this a lot. Low cost and high profit dish. They used turkey not chicken, and fresh sauteed mushroms.
