This sounds different. The cream kind of throws me but I make a roasted cherry tomato with a bit of cream recipe that is wonderful so I may give this a try.
My mother in law cooked many German foods but this is a new one to me. Sounds very interesting and with all the tomatoes coming on, I'll have to give it a try. Have a nice day! Twyla
I always thought this was a mediterrean thing! Cream is great way to smooth the acid in tomatoes. This sounds so good especially with lots of mild sweet onion.

ReplyDeleteWe ate Red tomatoes cut up in a bowl with sugar and cream when I was growing up. A German thing maybe?

ReplyDeleteOHHH! That sounds GOOD - like the idea of adding cream! We used to have a lot of tomato salad when I grew up in Germany- never with cream :(
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day!
