This is one of those recipes that has stood the test of time. There is nothing like a good chef's salad for a hearty lunch on a hot day.

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like Caesar salad but, I can't say I've ever had it including tongue. My father would've loved it!
ReplyDeleteNot my choice of meats, but a Chef salad is one of my favorites. Big Boy Restaurants used to make a wonderful one with finely diced ham, cheese and hard boiled egg in addition to the usual greens. Once salad bars became ever present, they stopped dicing the ham and cheese and somehow, it just isn't the same.
ReplyDeleteDarn...and somehow my doctor will just not let me eat canned tongue so I shall have to take a pass on this obviously delicious recipe!

yum.. tongue - lamb, pork or beef. All good stuff, but I've always cooked it. Never had canned tongue. Do they still sell canned tongue? Chef's salad is a great one dish meal.
