OHMYGOSH! Carol! I promise no more lima bean recipes first thing in the morning! However...beware because lima beans were very popular in the 50's! Enjoy your lima-bean-free day!
Not for me either. Thankfully, this wasn't something my mom made. She did hotdogs in pork and beans sometimes, and I would still eat that. Limas are on my short list of foods I won't eat, right along with liver.
I've never had lima beans - I don't think they are used much here in England - but I could be wrong. Will check my local supermarket shelves for them tomorrow.
Hi Coralie, this sounds good to me. My granddaughter will only eat turkey hot dogs.
I made the coffee cake and it was delicious. I even took photos but I didn't like the presentation. My cousin's hubby pinked up the dish and took it with him to our guest cabin. It was still hot. I wanted to cut a piece and take a picture. We laughed after he left and I decided to make another one for my blog next week. The coffee cake thief has gone back to MI. LOL. I went over the next morning and had a piece with my coffee at least. It didn't last a day.
As a lover of all things vintage, I write about our cottage home, inspirational decorating, vintage finds, thrifty buys, and old-time recipes. I have many additional interests such as reading, writing, blogging, arts and crafts, and quilting...I write about these interests as well as about family, friends, shelties, nature and hobbies.
No, no, no, I'm sorry Coralie, but I can't stomach this one! I gagged on lima beans when I was little, and I still hate 'em to this day!

I love this blog.

I can honestly say that I don't think I would like this recipe. Lima beans are okay but I'm not much into hot dogs!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Christine
Have mercy on my stomach Mrs. Kiss:)
