Apples are so underrated! They are my favorite fruit. So versatile and even when you don't have time to do something fancy...you can just pick 'em up and have a bite! :) This sounds yummy. Like a super easy apple crisp!
YUMMMMM... I have a recipe like this called "apple candy pie". It's basically the same, except it includes cinnamon in the topping. Don't forget a pinch of salt on the apples. I've also used half oatmeal & half flour. If the apples are really tart, I'll toss in some raisans or prunes with the apples. It's also nice with winter pears. (Try ginger with pears, yum.)
As a lover of all things vintage, I write about our cottage home, inspirational decorating, vintage finds, thrifty buys, and old-time recipes. I have many additional interests such as reading, writing, blogging, arts and crafts, and quilting...I write about these interests as well as about family, friends, shelties, nature and hobbies.
