Oh, this is interesting. When I was in 7th grade home economics class, my teacher taught us how to make "eggs in a hat"..similar to this recipe, except after both sides of the bread was buttered, it was sauteed in a pan...adding the egg in the center. What a fun, easy, inexpensive meal :) :) Love this! Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
