As a youngster I always begged mom to make Divinity! The weather seemed to determine the success of the candy. It is so delicious.

ReplyDeleteYour blog brings such feelings of nostalgia to me! As a child of the fifties I remember so well my mom's cooking from scratch, and all the neighborhood moms who stayed home and actually had the time to make things like jello salads in little molds. Homemaking was truly a creative endeavor for moms who had TIME!!! My mom made pralines and cocoons, but it was my step great-grandmother who made the divinity I remember. My mother-in-law made it too. Thanks for this wonderful recipe! My granddaughter and I will be making it next year! Happy New Year!
