Severeal years ago, my sis gave my sil a Christmas cookie jar filled with her fave cookie. My sil gave it back to my sis the next year and it was passed from family member to family member for several years.
Now, somehow it has stopped and niether my sis or I know where it is. We've decided to get a new jar next year and start the whole thing over. This time we're going to write a poem or story so that they know to pass it on. Since I won't be home this Christmas, we're going to start it next year.
I love that poem and hopefully we can write something just as nice!
As a lover of all things vintage, I write about our cottage home, inspirational decorating, vintage finds, thrifty buys, and old-time recipes. I have many additional interests such as reading, writing, blogging, arts and crafts, and quilting...I write about these interests as well as about family, friends, shelties, nature and hobbies.
THAT is so cool! I LOVE it! I feel inspired.
ReplyDeleteA very Merry Christmas to you, dear girl. Thank lyou so much for sharing your wonderful recipes and pictures with us. ((hugs))
