I haven't made anything with jello in ages! I used to make a "Coke salad" that mixed Jello, Coke and nuts and I think it had whipped cream on top. I'll have to see if I can dig it out. Thanks for the trip down memory lane! :)
My grandmother made jello salads all the time. I can think of at least a half dozen that I LOVED. This sounds similar to one...she called it Strawberry Banana Nut Salad, but it's pretty much identical to this one. (I know because it's one of the few recipes of hers that was actually written down and that I have.)
As a lover of all things vintage, I write about our cottage home, inspirational decorating, vintage finds, thrifty buys, and old-time recipes. I have many additional interests such as reading, writing, blogging, arts and crafts, and quilting...I write about these interests as well as about family, friends, shelties, nature and hobbies.
that sounds soooo good!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this one--sounds wonderful!
